Report: The Global War on Drugs Has Failed. Is It Time to Legalize? – Global Spin – TIME.com.

An untapped source of revenue for the government and nations. By having government controlled use mandated similar to that of prescription medications, this billion dollar industry could bring revenues to even decrease the US debt.

Obviously the controls and regulations would have to be detailed and error proof, and only applicable to certain types of drugs, however, with successful implementation of access and controls, the gains are limitless.

Tax revenues from this can be used for development in many ways, from health, structural, social, etc.

Politics should consider the benefits of this type of drug legalization regulation instead of emphasizing the negatives, some of which are only increased by the drugs being illegal and costing billions in tax payers earnings simply to prevent the population from controlled use.
